1. Introduction
Things.ai (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is a reflective assistant that helps you organize your thoughts, priorities, and daily intentions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address, and your authentication credentials are handled by our platform provider. Content you create. The Things, notes, check-ins, routines, intentions, hopes, mood entries, and reflections you write in the app are stored so you can access them and so the app’s AI features can be helpful in context. Conversations with the AI. Your messages and the AI’s responses, including help chats and check-in conversations. Preferences and settings. Notification preferences, appearance settings, and similar configuration choices. Optional connections. If you choose to connect a service such as Google Calendar, we only access what is needed for the feature you enabled, per the permissions you approve. Usage data. Basic analytics about how the app is used, such as which features are opened, help us improve the product.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide the app’s core features and keep your data in sync across devices; personalize AI conversations so they are relevant to your Things and reflections; send the reminders and check-ins you explicitly opt into; and maintain, secure, and improve the app.
4. AI Processing
The app uses third-party AI models to power conversations and reflections. Your prompts and relevant context from your own data are sent to these providers in order to generate responses. Do not enter information into the app that you would not want processed in this way.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to run the app, including hosting, authentication, email, and AI model providers, or when required by law.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your content stays in your account until you delete it or delete your account, which permanently removes your account and your data. Some deleted items remain in the app’s trash for a period before permanent removal, in case you change your mind. You can delete your account directly in the app, delete individual items at any time, or submit a request through the app’s support channels for full or partial data deletion.
7. Security
Data is stored on secured infrastructure with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app; for anything else, contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we materially change this policy, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or your data, please reach out through the app’s support channels.
